5 Bad Hair Day Hairstyles

Having a bad hair day can ruin your day, possibly week, maybe even month if you like being dramatic. Studies have shown that having a bad hair day can actually decrease your self esteem and make you feel really down and unhappy because you don't feel too confident about your appearance that day. So i have decided to swoop down to help you, whether you KNOW you're going to have one, or you currently ARE having one ( in which case, i am feel for you, don't quit, everything will be okay in the end), so here are 5 no-heat hairstyles that can prevent or help a bad hair day! Enjoyyyyy.

1.      This one is for when you know that the day is lurking, whether its tomorrow or the day after, and you need a quick remedy before it comes. Use some de-frizz serum, or anti-frizz spray, and smother it over your hair. Then braid hair and sleep on it over night / 5-6 hours in the day. Take them out, and without brushing, they should last 2-3 days.
2.      A simple french braid down the back of your head can hide almost all traces of the bad hair day monster, leaving you with a sophisticated and beautiful look. You can learn how to do them here.
3.      Another braid-themed style is a braided headband or 'milkmaid braid'. This is when a plait from one side of your head goes to the other side, and the other plait goes to the other side. I am fully aware how rubbish that explanation was, so here is a video explaining it a billion times better than me.
4.      Accessorize! Hair bows, and flower clips or even a simple head band can go well with one of the above styles if you don't want to use them on their own, but they can be a great way to draw the attention away from your hair, and make it look pretty at the same time.
5.      Of course, a style that i know everyone has done at least once on a BHD: the topknot. This style is a very pretty, laid back updo that looks fine with or without accessories, and it takes less than a minute to do. Simply grab all your hair on top of your head, twist around and coil it on top of your head, and secure with a hair tie or bobby pin/hair grip/flower pin or what ever you fancy. You can also sleep in a topknot, and wake up with bouncing curls. I recommend it.
So there are 5 easy and quick ways to sort out or plan ahead of a Bad Hair day! I hope i helped!

FUN FACT TIME: Did you know, a braid is only called a braid when it is attached to your head (e.g. french braid, dutch braid) but it is only a plait when its hanging, and isn't attached to your head? (i can't even find words for how crap that was worded).

TQ xo
